Why study the Word of God?

For many, reading the Bible can be confusing and boring.  There are many translations out now that can make the Word clearer. If you really want to get to know God, read and study His Word. The Word of God is the foundation of faith. The Holy Bible teaches us how to live, it was left here as a road map to life. You cannot have a relationship with God, without studying His word. There is nothing in life that you go through that you can't find the answer to in the Word. You can ask others opinion, but if you want to know the truth, simply read, and study Gods' word. Gods' word was given to us to aid in our current life and show us the way to eternal life. The Bible says, “the Word is God and God is the Word.” Studying the Word is studying God. The Word will give you a revelation into who He is. He is all powerful, sovereign, loving, caring, strategic, but most of all He shows His everlasting love for us in His Word.  If you are feeling lonely, depressed, stressed, the Word heals all brokenness.  The studying of Gods' word is the most powerful tool to learn how and why you were created.  If you are going in circles and don’t see a way out, I encourage you to pick up your Bible and start reading.  If you have been through a lot of trials and tribulations in life, I encourage you to pick up your bible and read.   If you feel as if people have abandoned you and life is not fair, I encourage you to pick up your Bible and read. The Bible is more than just a book with words. The study of Gods' word will release you into a place of peace and joy that nothing on earth can compare. I encourage you to start reading the Word of God today.  It’s never too late.  God is waiting on you with open arms.  Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.
