Words of a Married Mother

jehovahjirehministries

They say when someone shows you who they are believe them. On the surface this is pretty accurate. However, in marriage, you must never lose sight of the possibilities of who someone can become. The person you married in year 1 (day 1) will likely differ quite a bit from the person you celebrate your 20th anniversary with (day 7,300). So many transitions, lessons, mistakes, and gained wisdom occurs over that time. So when someone “shows you who they are”, you are seeing what they are currently capable of, for better or worse. You are seeing a moment in their journey. You are seeing what they are walking through now, which will lead them to who the Lord has called them to be. This walk isn’t always pretty, but:

“ … we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them”

⁃ Romans 8:28

None of us are limited to become only what we have achieved as of now. As long as we are blessed with the gift of time, there is always an opportunity to be better and do better. No matter how pretty or ugly your circumstances seem at the moment, never forget we can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us. He has the power to change minds, hearts, and habits. In Jesus Name! Amen.

This is so true! I wish that I had this knowledge when I got married at the tender age of 22. God bless you for sharing this Word! It will help me when God sends my future husband!❤️

”In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day.“‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬https://bible.com/bible/116/gen.1.1-5.NLT
